After a Master’s degree in business and tax law, Julien was admitted to practice as a French advocate in 2015. Since then, Julien has practiced within French law firms (Fiducial Legal by Lamy, LexCase), and has spent time working with a business law firm in the US.

His expertise is in the field of economic and business disputes and related legal proceedings. This includes unfair competition and passing off claims, disputes between business partners and shareholders, post-acquisition warranty claims, white-collar crime, product and business liability claims, as well as international disputes for businesses and private individuals involving questions of applicable law and disputes over jurisdiction. Julien is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA). Julian also teaches business law at the EM Business School since 2019 and has done so during several years at the University Jean Moulin LYON III.

  • Acted as national litigation counsel for one of the nation's leading freight carriers managing all aspects of litigation strategy, including complex commercial litigation.
  • Successfully represented a major American food company in detailed international litigation filed before a French commercial court.
  • Successfully represented a private equity fund in proceedings brought to obtain the removal of the CEO of the company, due various breaches of duty.
  • Successfully represented the purchaser of a company in an action claiming breach of the seller's warranties, following the discovery of material liabilities.
  • Regularly representing parties in commercial contract claims and product liability claims.

 

Criminal Litigation

  • Represented the French subsidiary of an American company in a complex criminal case based on breaches of environmental regulations.
